It may be time for David Wright to hang em up on a very successful career, however it seems like the veteran 3B is still pushing forward and working on getting back on the field. His neck/back have cost him over the past couple of seasons but now it seems like his arm has let him down.

It is being reported that he reached out to Mets Manager Terry Collins saying he was going to acquire a first basemen mitt. The validity of this has not been confirmed nor has there been any talks about moving Wright to the opposite side of the diamond. Regardless of his health status, having Wright as a presence in the clubhouse will be a big boost for this Mets team. Expect Jose Reyes to pick up the starting role as long as Wright is shelved with the arm injury.
