Mets Trade Logan Verrett to Orioles in exchange for cash considerations

With the signing of Yoenis Cespedes official, the Mets needed to make space on their 40 man roster. They did just that by dumping Verrett to the Orioles for $50,000. Verrett was serviceable during his time with the Mets as he posted a record of 4-9 with a 4.70 ERA. With the Mets pitching loaded right now, it was the right move for them to make as Verrett would likely spend his time down in the Minors in 2017. It is unclear what role he will play with the Orioles but he could be a nice long relief arm out of the pen.
